Highfield Level 2 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety (RQF)

This course is available to take as Qualify At Home, turning home working into home learning and qualifying and helping you keep your business on the front foot during the COVID-19 crisis.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.

Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of fire in any premises.

 

  • Hazards and risks
  • The control of fire risk
  • Principles and practice of fire safety management at work
  • The role of the nominated fire warden

Half a day in the classroom.

Assessment Method

Multiple-choice examination.  The candidate must answer at least 20 out of 30 questions correctly. The examination will take a maximum of 1 hour to complete.

20-question multiple-choice examination that must be completed within 45 minutes. Successful learners will have to demonstrate knowledge across the unit content and correctly answer 12 questions or more to achieve a pass.
